While taking a tour of the WW II submarine, Pampanito, located at Pier 39 in San Francisco, I met this 86 year old gentleman. The Pampanito was constructed in Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, New Hampshire in 1943. The Gentleman you see here was one of the welders on this very ship in 1943. He knows the Pampanito like the back of his hand, and can tell you about every weld he made!
